Today’s headline from the Washington Post (and surely there are others like it):
U.S. votes against U.N. resolution condemning Russia for Ukraine war
Washington’s shift on the conflict marks a major break with Europe and coincides with the Trump administration’s bid to repair relations with Moscow.
A headline, like a picture, can be worth 1000 words, or more (my posts are typically in the 4000 word range).
Three months ago one would have thought this would be the kind of headline in a Borowitz column. Now it is real life.
Our hearts go out to the brave people of Ukraine, and to President Zelensky in particular. Notwithstanding our government, the American people (I wish I could say all of them) are with you.
Siding with Russia, Israel.. both states involved, like the US, in the denial of neighboring states right to exist!
