The remarkably simple thing Congress could do is force social media platforms to disable (or, at minimum, offer consumers the option to disable) their algorithms. There is no reason I cannot/could not have a social media feed that is purely chronological of only those I choose to follow, rather than having Facebook's algorithm choose who to show me. Indeed, chronological of those I follow is how Twitter is constructed. Turn off the algorithms.
